Kareena Kapoor Called Shahid On His Bday

Kareena Kapoor sure loves to give surprises and that too with élan. This time, ex-beau Shahid was in for a happy surprise, when he received a call from Bebo on his birthday on Februray 25. The birthday boy, who turned 26 this year, chose to stay away from the limelight by hanging out with his close friends in Goa.

According to sources close to Bebo, "Though Shahid and Kareena have parted, they have kept in touch with each other. Kareena remembered his birthday this year and called to wish him. When she spoke to him, he was in Goa with close friends, Ahmed Khan and Lovely Singh. Bebo wished him and then they continued to talk for sometime. The conversation flowed very easily, just like in the past, when they used to have long chats."

While Shahid remains single, Kareena has been dating Saif Ali Khan for sometime and if rumours are to be believed, the duo are ready to tie the knot. Saif, who had last year split with Rosa Catalano, called her several times on her birthday last month.

Kareena is currently shooting for Rohit Shetty's Golmaal Returns and is all set for the release of her upcoming movie Tashan with her recent beau. The movie's other claim to fame is the most anticipated bikini shot of Bebo.

Talking about her role, she said that she sports a rugged Kill Bill type look that is quite cool and funky. In fact, she is curious to see how the audience reacts to it.

Kareena admitted that she had to work out for extra hours to get into this shape for the role but at heart she would always be a big foodie as she is a 'Kapoor'.
