Year 2007 was eventful for Bobby as he had five back-to-back releases SHAKALAKA BOOM BOOM, JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM, APNE, NAQAAB and NANHE JAISALMER. After a quiet 2008 so far, Bobby would be making a thunderous beginning with CHAMKU. Directed by Kabeer Kaushik, the man who had debuted with Arshad Warsi starrer SEHAR 3 years back, CHAMKU is an action thriller where Bobby plays the role of Chandramohan Singh a.k.a CHAMKU, who moves from southern Bihar to Mumbai, where he gets entangled in the world of crime once again. A Dharmendra production, CHAMKU stars Priyanka Chopra as the female lead along with Irrfan Khan, Danny Denzongpa, Ritesh Deshmukh, Arya Babbar and Rajpal Yadav. While Sameer has penned the lyrics than Monty Sharma has composed the melodious music for CHAMKU. Synopsis: Inspired from real life incidents, the film depicts the journey of a male Naxalite from the southern interiors of Bihar, tutored under a covert governmental program and trained to kill.
